50 years of Bond: Skyfall
Hallmarking a very important year for James Bond, we understand that 007 is going back to his London roots in the newest film, Skyfall. Hitting UK cinemas today (26th October 2012), Skyfall is set to be the best Bond yet and continue the long-lasting 007 love affair.
According to London’s The Evening Standard, the James Bond collection has somewhat mirrored the creator Ian Fleming’s, personal life. As a keen traveller, Ian Fleming enjoyed spending time in the Alps and further flung destinations like Jamaica.
As you may already know, Andermatt played host to the cast and crew of the iconic James Bond epic ‘Goldfinger’ in 1964. Between filming explosive car chases along the Furka Pass, Sean Connery spent many an evening mingling in the town’s bars and restaurants and his visit is still talked about in the village to this day.
We can’t wait to watch the film ourselves, but those who can’t wait to get to the cinema here is the trailer to whet your appetite. Do you think 007 should head back to the Alps? We do. Here’s to the next 50 years of Bond.
