A day on the slopes at Andermatt Swiss Alps: Skiing and snowboarding
Our latest film is designed to capture the ski arena Andermatt-Sedrun, providing you with a taste of a day on the slopes of Andermatt.
This season, Andermatt has offered some of the best skiing and snowboarding conditions above anywhere else in the alps, with exceptional snowfall. Thankfully, the day of filming was no different, with 2cm of fresh powder making for the ideal terrain from which to capture footage on the mighty Gemsstock mountain.
Andermatt-Sedrun is set to become even more of a draw for winter sports fans in coming years as we are partnering with SkiStar to create Central Switzerland’s largest ski area, offering ski and snowboarding challenges as big as your ambitions.
Our Technical Advisor, the Olympic Champion Bernhard Russi, is overseeing the project – which includes the Bernhard Russi run, created and named in his honour.
There will be over 120km of runs for all abilities, plus the exceptional off-piste for which Andermatt is famous, while high-tech infrastructure will transport you swiftly and easily around the resort.
And, when the sun sets, Andermatt has the perfect après-ski spots to reward yourself for the day’s achievements, from traditional restaurants to buzzing bars.
