More overnight stays in canton Uri due to the Chedi effect
What is the “Chedi effect”? Or more to the point, what is its cause? Very simple. Thanks to The Chedi Andermatt hotel, overnight stays in canton Uri have increased by a fifth in the past year. In a Radio SRF broadcast, Economics Director Urban Camenzind said, “That which was expected and promised has happened.” Showing even stronger demand, in Andermatt hotel stays have risen by a third. It remains to be seen whether the “Chedi effect” will find a place in text books. Adding to the momentum, this summer the Andermatt Swiss Alps golf course is expected to induce a “golf effect”, resulting in even more hotel stays. A prime example of this double boost is The Chedi Andermatt’s exciting offer for golf fans: Tee-Off in Style, which includes two overnight stays plus golf butler service and a four-course dinner. This is a unique opportunity because this summer the golf course is opening for hotel guests for the first time. Barbara Stiemerling of The Chedi Andermatt: “We are delighted to have initiated a positive trend in the hotel industry in canton Uri.
